Product Overview

The 1336-MOD-KB005 is an Allen-Bradley heavy-duty dynamic braking resistor module for Bulletin 1336 adjustable-frequency AC drives (drive ratings B003-B005). It mounts within approximately 10 ft of the drive and provides dynamic braking by dissipating excess DC bus energy as heat. Its enclosure is NEMA Type 1 (IP20), and it supports up to 100 % braking torque for 20 s (20 % duty cycle). Typical uses include speeding deceleration, overhauling load control, and protecting drive integrity in industrial motor systems.
