Product Overview

The 1738-ADN12 is an ArmorPoint DeviceNet network adapter designed by Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation). It interfaces ArmorPoint I/O modules to a DeviceNet network and includes a built-in POINTBus power supply. The module connects via an M12 quick-disconnect connector and is rated for 24 V DC field-side power. Its role in control systems is to act as the communication and power interface for distributed I/O in industrial settings, such as on-machine, harsh-environment installations where sealed, IP-rated connectivity is required. 1738-ADN12 handles network interface and system power delivery in a compact form.
