Product Overview

The 20-COMM-S is an RS-485 DF1 to DPI communication adapter module for the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 7-Class drive family. It installs into the DPI (optional adapter) slot via a carrier card and enables serial DF1 communication over RS-485 networks. It is typically used to integrate PowerFlex drives into existing RS-485 systems or connect multiple drives in a DF1 multidrop configuration. The 20-COMM-S supports drive-to-drive communication and is applied in industrial environments requiring serial link integration without modifying drive hardware.
