Product Overview

The 1757-FFLD2 is an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix FOUNDATION Fieldbus linking device. It functions as a protocol bridge, converting Ethernet (EtherNet/IP or HSE) to FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1, enabling integration of Fieldbus devices into Ethernet-based control systems. Typically used in process industries, the 1757-FFLD2 allows ControlLogix controllers to communicate with lower-level field instruments-such as transmitters and actuators-via Fieldbus H1 networks, supporting distributed measurements and control within systems originally built around Ethernet backbones. 1757-FFLD2 is part of the ControlLogix automation platform.
