Product Overview

The 1771-ASB is a Remote I/O Adapter Module in the Allen-Bradley PLC-5 family, providing interface between a PLC-5 or compatible controller and remote 1771-series I/O modules over the Remote I/O network. It occupies the leftmost slot in a 1771 chassis and enables serial communication over distances up to 10,000 feet. It is typically used to extend I/O racks in distributed control, manufacturing automation, and remote sensor/actuator installations.
