Product Overview

The 1771-ASBK is an Allen-Bradley PLC-5 series conformally-coated universal remote I/O adapter module. Serving as a remote I/O scanner interface between a PLC-5 processor and 1771 I/O modules, it enables communication via Remote I/O link and supports multiple baud rates. The conformal coating provides environmental protection. It is typically deployed in distributed control systems where remote I/O racks must be located near field devices, such as in manufacturing, process control, or machine-level installations. 1771-ASBK enables extension of I/O over cable with diagnostic visibility.
