Product Overview

The 1771-CFM is an Allen-Bradley PLC-5 Configurable Flow Meter Module within the 1771 I/O family. It interfaces PLC-5 controllers with magnetic pickups, single-channel shaft encoders, turbine flow meters, or TTL pulse sources to perform high-speed flow totalizing and frequency measurement. The module supports frequencies up to 100 kHz and programmable counts up to 9 ,999 ,999. It offloads counting and frequency calculations from the PLC processor and provides configurable outputs based on measured values. 1771-CFM is optimized for applications requiring flow or shaft-speed monitoring with minimal PLC impact.
