Product Overview

The NX-ECS212 is a two-channel SSI Input Unit in Omron's NX-series I/O System. It serves as a synchronous serial interface (SSI) module for connecting external axes-typically encoders-into the Sysmac machine automation environment. Installed in an NX modular I/O network, it conveys precise position data using RS-422-A differential signaling. Commonly applied where motion control or positioning feedback is required, such as CNC, robotics, or servo press systems. NX-ECS212 integrates with NX CPUs or EtherCAT/EtherNet IP coupler units via the NX bus.
