Product Overview

The CJ1W-SCU31-V1 is a CPU-bus serial communications unit in Omron's CJ1 platform. It provides one RS-232C port and one RS-422A/485 port and mounts directly on the CJ1 controller rack. The unit facilitates data exchange via Host Link, protocol macro, Serial Gateway, no-protocol, and Modbus-RTU slave modes. It's typically used to interface PLC systems with serial-type external devices such as barcode scanners, drives, or HMIs in automated manufacturing and process control environments.
